The database for the Brown School library of books is now online in a searchable database! Simply click here to get to our search page.

Please keep track of your child's library books! You are responsible for replacing the book with the same title if it is lost. The library is run by volunteers and it is a lot of work to keep track of all the books. Replacing books, especially books that may now be out of print, is very time consuming. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

The E.S. Brown School library currently consists of close to 10,000 titles.

Each classroom is assigned a weekly library/Reading Counts time. During the half hour time slot, students can visit the library and/or take Reading Counts quizzes. Each student is assigned a unique barcode which is kept in a log book in the library. The student's barcode is scanned along with the book's barcode when the student checks out a book. Students are allowed to check out 2 books and/or magazines per week.

Many of the books in our library match quiz titles in the Reading Counts program. Please encourage your child to read one of the many wonderful books provided in our school library. There are so many different categories and almost all categories have Reading Counts titles available.

The library and Reading Counts program are run by volunteers. Volunteer forms are sent home at the start of the school year after the teachers have chosen their library time slot. Please consider volunteering during your child's library time or during any library time. The students love to see familiar faces! Your help is always needed and appreciated.
